A small greenhouse where lettuce and tomatoes were grown – that’s where it all began. In 1958, Frans van der Pol Sr. took over this small nursery from his father. Along with it came three hectares of land, where various vegetables such as lettuce, tomatoes, cauliflower, and celeriac were cultivated. Iceberg lettuce was also grown for the American army in Germany.
